I honestly hadn’t been going to write a gift guide post this year but I seem to have amassed a fair bit I felt the need to share with all my readers and a gift guide felt like the easiest way to do this. I’ve split it all up into sections so you’ll find gifts for the tea lover, the organisation lover, the skincare lover and the stationery lover. This post is also fairly picture heavy as you would expect from a gift guide so it may take a little longer to load than some of my blog posts.
FOR THE TEA LOVER
Yes I know I’ve technically already shared the tea when I posted about my tenth wedding anniversary gifts but it’s too pretty not to share again and it goes with the mug so well. The tea is English Breakfast by Charbrew and is perfect for the tea addict in your life that also loves Alice in Wonderland – I can’t be the only one out there based on the amount of Alice and tea products available these days.
The mug is by Mrs Moore and features the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland with a pocket watch painted on the inside of the mug which I think is a lovely touch. The back of the mug features one of the rabbit’s famous quotes and I can actually hear the lines from the Disney movie in my head as I read it.
FOR THE ORGANISATION LOVER
For anyone that doesn’t me well, I love being organised and this is particularly true of my handbag. I posted recently about the contents of my handbag but I honestly wish it was much tidier than it is. This Lifestyle Organiser by Ted Baker is perfect for someone that does a lot of travelling as there’s space for everything you need: phone, tablet, cards, cash and I even managed to add my headphones in there too. I’ve taken close ups of the organizer as it’s so pretty that it deserves all the photos in this post.
Both the Alice in Wonderland mug and Ted Baker organiser were sent to me by Amara for inclusion in a gift guide and I had the hardest time narrowing down what I would like to be sent as they not only have a huge range of gifts but I’ve also found myself lusting after new bed linen and items for the kitchen. If only I had space to actually put everything I want from their website in our room.
FOR THE SKINCARE LOVER
I’ve never been one for changing my skincare routine, I knew what worked and stuck to it. But after attending the Thirty Plus event at Caudalie last year my eyes have been opened to a new world of skincare that doesn’t make me come out in a rash or feel like my face is burning off (yes this has happened before with a well-known brand). For the past year, I’ve been using the Gentle Buffing Cream when I’m in the shower and it really is gentle to my sensitive skin. My skin feels clean but I don’t feel like I’ve scrubbed the top layer of dermis off. I’ve also been using the hand cream and it’s great. I use a lot of hand sanitiser at work as I’m dealing with currency and this helps keeps my hands hydrated and soft instead of dry from the sanitiser.
The cleanser and moisturiser are new additions to my skincare routine this year and I would wholeheartedly recommend them. The cleanser is the Gentle Cleansing Milk and although it does smell a little like Ponds cold cream, it’s gentle on my skin and removes makeup with any stinging which is always beneficial. I’ve been using the Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet and it really does what it says on the tin. Also if you decide to buy this then be warned that a little really does a go a long way. It looks like the tube won’t last long but I’ve been using it for a month and it’s barely had any out of it.
Caudalie also has lots of gift sizes and trial sets on their site which are great if you haven’t tried them before or you’re unsure as to which ones the person you’re buying for would prefer.
FOR THE STATIONERY LOVER
Yes, that is a selection of Lulu Guinness Stationery* and I love it. If you’re looking for stationery that’s a little different for the stationery lover in your life then this is for you. In the picture above there’s a book of gift wrap, a ballpoint pen, jotter pad and 2018 diary. I’ve linked to each item separately so that you can view them in a bit more detail and place an order. As you can see each of the items features the unique design of Lulu Guinness and for the person in your life that loves stationery and designer products I think these would make the perfect Christmas gift. I thought I was going to have to hunt for a diary for next year but this is the one for me. The front page for your details even includes a space to add your favourite lipstick colour which is just the sort of addition that I love.
I hope this gift guide has given you lots of ideas for Christmas this year and maybe a few brands that you hadn’t thought of too. There are lots of items here that if they hadn’t already been featured here I would have been adding to the list that I give to my husband at Christmas (yes we do lists for each other).
Did I include enough in my gift guide or have I missed something?
