Although I don’t wear a huge amount of make-up on a regular basis it is something I love to do and love to play with too. The items below are the ones that I use on a regular basis and refuse to be parted from. While they’re not all high street, they last me quite some time and I view a lot of make-up as an investment.
I know it doesn’t look like a lot but these really are the main products in my make-up arsenal.
Face
YSL Touche Eclat – This was recommended to me by my best friend and fellow blogger, AJ from AJ Loves and quite honestly I now can’t live without it. Great for those troublesome dark circles, as is the product below.
Benefit Boi-ing Concealer – This is promoted as an industrial strength concealer and does what it says on the tin. This particular duo came as part of a set but I use the palest of the two seeing as I am almost as pale as a pint of milk.
Eyes
Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette – I purchased this palette as a bit of an impulse buy and I’m so glad I did. The colours are great and have now persuaded me that I need to own more of the naked range.
Benefit They’re Real Primer – This was a free gift with Elle magazine recently and I absolutely love it as a base for mascara or to wear on its own. It’s perfect for my colouring and as you’ll see in the picture below helps my lashes look amazing.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Mascara – I’m a sucker for anything beauty related with cucumber involved as it always has a gorgeous scent. It applies really well and can help me look awake first thing in the morning (generally the reason why I’m applying make-up in the first place).
Lips
MAC Lipstick in Twig – I fell in love with this shade after seeing it on fellow blogger Georgina (She Might Be Loved) and is also my first ever MAC purchase and I will definitely be buying more. The question will then be which shades to buy!
The picture below was taken after my face had been on for over 12 hours and I’d been to the pub. I may be biased but I think it lasted pretty well!
I’ve also linked all the products above in case you want to read more about them or want to buy them.
What are your make-up favourites or is there something I should be adding to my repertoire?
