UK Swimwear Review: Ted Baker Beach Coverup*

UK swimwear

In case you didn’t notice I’m not long back from France and have been using any excuse to post holiday pictures on my blog – cue this as a cheeky reason to plug my French holiday photo diary post. I’ve been sharing lots of pictures on Instagram too which has been a change for me and my theme. Before we went away I was contacted by UK Swimwear and asked if I wanted to review one of their products. Cue the usual happy dance and scrolling of the website until I realised that all the swimwear that I liked wasn’t available in my size. I then decided to look at beach coverups instead and that was when I fell in love.

I’ve always adored Ted Baker and the piece I chose was the Saraya Entangled Coverup* (unfortunately it’s no longer available on the UK Swimwear site but I’ve linked to Ted Baker as it’s currently on sale there for £45 instead of £75). We were staying in a gîte so we actually spent most of our days out and about rather than lazing by the pool. What you can’t see in the picture above is that I’m actually wearing shorts and a top underneath the coverup as I’m wearing it as a dress. The day I did wear it, it was excruciatingly hot (not complaining just making a statement) and I wanted to wear something floaty that would create a bit of a breeze when I walked and this cover-up certainly does the trick.

The print is so pretty that I want to wear it all the time but with living in Scotland it’s just not a practical piece of clothing for everyday wear. This means hanging onto it until our next sunny day or foreign holiday (whichever comes first). The other thing I loved when I chose this was that I didn’t need to think for too long about the size I would need as it comes in Small, Medium and Large which for someone like me whose size fluctuates all the damn time makes life a whole lot easier. I went for the Large to give myself plenty of room but I could possibly have squeezed myself into a medium but I didn’t really want to chance it.

The best bit about my order arriving from UK Swimwear was that it was folded into an A5 size envelope rather than being sent in a huge parcel with loads of packaging. There’s also a huge range of items on the UK Swimwear website and if I was going on a long beach holiday then I’d be heading there to stock up on swimwear, cover-ups and beach accessories.

Would you be likely to order from UK Swimwear or do you love what I chose?
