Yes having my phone in my hand is an accurate representation of how I’ve been spending my time. As much as I’ve tried to be productive and get my arse into gear some days – especially today where my whole back is in agony – are spent watching Netflix and playing games on my phone or my iPad. Loungewear (Gifted for review but all views and opinions are my own). was one of those purchases that I could never justify to my myself. I have leggings and jumpers plus a huge collection of pjs but as most of my days off were out the house loungewear felt like an expense I didn’t need. Then March 2020 rolled around and here we are. (I’m not going into any more detail on the matter as I don’t think I need to). If you want to check out the rest of the fashion content I’ve written then you’ll find it all in the one place. I can’t promise that it won’t give you itchy feet as a lot of it is also holiday content.
Femme Luxe are a company I’d heard of before but had never purchased from as I didn’t think I was part of their key demographic. When they got in touch to ask if I’d like to review some loungewear I didn’t need to think about it. I was straight on the website looking at options and trying to find styles that would work for me. I chose three outfits which work as the two pieces as the brand intended but that I can also mix and match.

The first set I chose was the charcoal contrast zip up set which can be found as part of the grey loungewear sets on the website. I went for the large as I like my hoodies to be oversized and I wanted to make sure the trousers definitely fit. I love the top half of this set but the bottoms don’t fit me too well. They’re quite tight around my middle but that’s not helped by the fact they rub on my abdominal scar. I’ll be keeping them for PJ bottoms for when it gets colder up here as they’ll be perfect for that rather than as loungewear.

The next set I chose was the charcoal contrast set and the bottoms from this set are the perfect fit for me. again I went for the large size and it means that even on my long legs the bottoms actually hit my ankles and don’t make me feel like I’m wearing 3/4 lengths. The difference between this set and the one above is that this comes with an over the head hoodie instead of a zip up one. I decided that I wanted to be able to have the choice and sometimes a hoody is exactly what you need. Funny story, I got rid of all the other hoodies I owned and then went to wear one when I wanted something comfortable to wear and was disappointed when I remembered I didn’t have one anymore.

The third and final set that I chose was this black long sleeved top and leggings set. Of all three this is the one I will be wearing the least. It’s comfy but just doesn’t fit as well as the other two. The top is far too short on my body but I do prefer a longer style of top so if shorter works for you then this would be perfect. As stated above I have quite long legs and these leggings are a bit on the short side for me. If it actually warms up in Scotland this year then I’ll reconsider them but for now they’re going in the wardrobe and they may come back out when I want a bit of ankle on show.
Overall, I love the loungewear that I was sent by Femme Luxe and I’ll be checking out the rest of the site when I go back to work and have a need for clothes other than loungewear.
