I’m always on the lookout for products that will help my decidedly dodgy skin. I’ve already reviewed the Recuperating Cream by Dermatique as well as Puriskin from the October Blogger Beauty Box and now I have another product to try in the form of this lovely Rose Body Oil by Acuregen.
The Claims
A highly purifying and detoxifying blend of botanically active essential oils powered by the potent, cleansing and calming properties of nourishing Rose oil. Additionally fortified with Geranium and Frankincense essential oils for active support to the body’s circulatory function and nervous systems with boosted immune defense.
How to Use
There are three different suggestions on how to use this product which is good for me as with not having a bath I can’t use it in the first way suggested.
– Add a few drops to bath water to de-stress and aid relaxation.
– Apply directly to slightly damp skin
– Add a few drops to body lotion and apply until fully absorbed into the skin.
My Thoughts
The rose petals floating in the oil are a lovely touch and if you move the bottle a lot it can be quite hypnotising (and yes I may have done this a few times after it arrived).
I applied the body oil to damp skin after having a shower and it’s lovely. Not too greasy and isn’t too highly scented which can be a concern when using floral scents.
Only issue I found was getting the lid off, as the first time I managed to get the whole top of the bottle off, not just the lid. I may have been fighting to get a little so it wouldn’t put me off buying the product.
Information
The body oils are sold in two different sizes (ml – £16.99 and ml – £32.99). While this may seem like a lot to pay, these oils are suitable for vegetarians, not tested on animals and ethically made which will obviously drive the price up. Overall, I think the cost is justified in the quality of the product and the length of time the product will last for.
