Gold: Not just for jewellery*

Gold is something which comes to mind as a metal for jewellery rather than a product to put on my face. I was slightly sceptical when I was sent this gold spray but I have quickly become a convert to what it does and the benefits for my skin.

The Claims

L’ors des Pharons is designed to slow down the depletion of collagen levels in the skin and therefore enhance the skin’s natural brightness and complexion. It is also a natural anti-oxidant due to the fact that gold never rusts and allows your skin to give a natural and youthful glow.

Directions

The directions for use were to spray up to 5 times on the skin before moisturising and applying makeup. I did this step after moisturising and before applying my make-up. This is because I have exceptionally dry skin and felt the spray would get a bit ‘lost’ under my thick moisturiser. Applying it after meant it was acting as a primer before applying my foundation and my god it’s good.

What You Need To Know

The L’ors des Pharons* gold spray retails for £40 for a 15ml bottle and is available from Health Range.

My Thoughts

Overall, as a primer, the spray really evened out my skin and gave me a fab base to work with before applying my concealer and foundation etc. and smooths skin really well. If your skin isn’t as dry as mine they I would suggest following the instructions and putting on before your moisturiser as although it evens out the skin it can make it a bit on the dry side and that was on top of my moisturiser. I think my skin just takes any moisture where it can find it.

I do really like using the product but at the cost of one bottle, I do think I’ll be keeping this for use on special occasions which will make the process easier when doing my makeup.

What do you think of the gold spray and would you consider using it?
