Reading Challenge 2019

Reading Challenge 2019

Although I read what some people would consider to be an excessive amount, I feel like I’m not reading enough. There are classic books that although I’ve longed to read have never got round to and ones that I love that deserve to be re-read. I’ve set up my challenge on goodreads so I can keep track of how many books I’ve read and how far I’ve still got to go. My target for the year is 50 books which is fairly achievable for me but if I don’t manage it I’m not going to be upset.

I’ve decided to set myself a few mini goals as well as some books that I want to read this year. I re-read a lot so I’m not going to include and of those in my total. I’ve also already started a list of the books I’ve read this year so I can post the full list when I’m done.

I want to read more books that I’ve read before as I’ve forgotten the stories. I want to read some that I’ve bought and forgotten about. I want to read the ones that are new by authors that I adore. Basically I just want to read.

The following is a list of the books I want to read this year and I think I’ll add to it as new titles come to mind.

  • Alice in Wonderland & Through the Looking Glass
  • Jekyll and Hyde
  • Good Omens
  • Rivers of London Series
  • House of Night Series
  • Sherlock Holmes
  • The Hobbit
  • Lord of the Rings
  • The Dark Artifices Series by Cassandra Clare

Have you started a reading challenge for yourself this year? Share your goals and goodreads links with me and we can keep each other motivated.
