Table of Contents
I previously wrote a post about creating your own Instagram landing page but it felt clunky and hard to achieve. I’ve now found a new way to achieve this which although needs a little bit of copying and pasting to get it right looks much sleeker than the previous one I attempted and looks like Linktree without giving them your blog views. This easy Instagram landing page will take less than ten minutes to get set up if you follow my instructions.
This post is designed for anyone that uses WordPress with either the Gutenberg editor or another blocks editor such as Elementor.
The first step is to create a new page on your blog. Keep the slug simple like http://YOURBLOG.COM/instagram and name the page something like “Here From Instagram?”. This then gives you the blank template you need to be able to add buttons to in order to create your landing page. You can make decisions on what you want your page to include but I think the perfect landing page needs:
- Work With Me – link to media kit/what you can offer a brand
- About Me
- Newsletter sign up link
- Ko-fi/Patreon sign up link
- Social Icons
- Blog Categories
- Favourite blog posts – the ones you want people to read – this is handy if you don’t have swipe up on Insta but want to direct people to a specific blog post. You can also change them out when you feel like and keep a maximum of 7-10 links there as you don’t want it to become too messy.
This post will take you through all the steps to create your own landing page with screenshots so it will be a long post but worth it for you to have a gorgeous Instagram landing page of your own.
Add the Plugin
The key to this easy Instagram landing page is the plugin MaxButtons. Although there is a button option in Gutenberg I find the style options don’t work as well as the plugin does. Once you’ve figured out your colour scheme and designed one button it then becomes really simple to create the landing page. Below are the screenshots of the settings I’ve used to create the button I’m using for my page which you can see below.

Build Your Landing Page
In order to build your page, you’ll need to have a couple of windows open:
- Main blog page for links
- Widget page – if you want to add your social links you’ll need the code you use elsewhere on your site
- Any other links you wish to add
To add your first button to your landing page choose the Classic Block from your options or if you’re using another block editor make sure it accepts shortcodes. In the classic block, the options include a button for MaxButtons. Click it and it’ll add the shortcode (see below) for the button you’ve created. As you saw above I used my about page as the example and then I can edit the one button each time I add it to my landing page rather than create a new button each time. The MaxButtons page even explains how to use one button rather than create multiples too which is great.

In the picture above I’ve used one Classic Block and added all the links I want to the one block. You can then use headings and insert any other links or code as needed to create the landing page. If you’re adding code to your page then you need to use a custom HTML block to add the code to. I’ve also centred all the shortcodes as I like to know the buttons will be central and not off to one side.
The photo below shows what your Instagram landing page will look like. All that remains is to publish your page and add the link to your Instagram bio.
