Achievements: Analysing My 2016 Goals

I decided with today being the last day of the year I would take a look at what my achievements for this year. My way of doing this is by analysing whether I achieved the goals I set for myself at the start of the year. Anything achieved has a strikethrough and I’m pretty proud of it all. Keep reading and you never know, you may find inspiration for your goals for 2017 from my list.

Post at least once a week
This is something I didn’t always manage to achieve. Life and uni work got in the way but I felt more comfortable not posting to a schedule as I didn’t feel constrained and was posting when I wanted to.

Post my “Can’t Live Without” once a month
This is one thing where I simply ran out of steam. I enjoyed doing it but felt I was being repetitive and I didn’t want to do that.

Charge a small amount for blog advertising
I have been offering this but haven’t had much uptake. If you do fancy advertising with me (shameless plug) you can check out what I have on my advertising page.

Make the move to self-hosted WordPress
This is something that I am so glad that I did. I love being on WordPress and I’ve pretty much got it figured out as to how it works and keeping my blog running well. Time for another not so shameless plug, if you fancy making the move yourself but don’t know how to do it then I offer this as one of my blogger services and can get you up and running within 48 hours.

Reach 250 Instagram followers
I achieved this target in April 2016, and I’m so happy. I’ve been putting a lot of effort into my Instagram and have been very proud with the results. My best nine of 2016 are below and I love them all.

Reach 250 Facebook likes
I finally reached this in November and I’m now not far away from 300 likes which is making me very happy.

Reach 250 Bloglovin followers
Growth on Bloglovin has been painfully slow but this month I surpassed my 250 followers goal. I’m hoping for more growth this year but I’m not holding my breath.

Only post content I want to post
This is something that I’m still doing and even though I’m posting more sponsored content I’m only posting things that I love or can relate to myself and my life.

Always have an image for a blog post
This is one of the achievements I am most proud of. I use the featured image on WordPress which pushes me to have an image that I love for a post.

Reach 2000 twitter followers
It’s the end of the year and I now have over 1,700 followers so I’m well on the way to achieving my goal this year. If you’re reading this and you’re also on Twitter but don’t follow me you are more than welcome to.

My other goals for 2016 included teaching myself everything I needed to know about being self-hosted as well as writing my dissertation and getting the grades I need in my final year at university. Overall, 70% of my goals isn’t bad considering the amount of uni work I’ve dealt with in the past year.

Did you have any blog achievements in 2016 that you would like to share with me?
