Lists, Plans

You’d be forgiven for thinking that this post is about the Season 8 episode of One Tree Hill (yes I double-checked which season before I wrote this post) that I stole the title of for this blog post. Instead, this is my annual blog post about the direction I’m taking my site for this year. It’s become a bit of a habit for me to write one of these posts every year and generally, by the end of the year, there is nothing like the content I’ve thought about on my blog. I love making lists and I love making plans so I thought this title made a lot of sense!

This year is different. This year I’m sticking to what I’m listing. This is me holding myself accountable for my actions this coming year. I wrote a post about niching and whether it works for me. In a bizarre twist, I’ve found that what I wrote in that post still applies and won’t be changing anytime soon. I’ve not read the post what does this mean? Well, it means that I’ll still be posting the same mix of content as before but there will be some changes around here too. As well as all the content you’ve come to expect from me over the years there will also be the inclusion of more content around why you should hire a virtual assistant for your blog or business.

I’m relaunching my virtual assistant services for 2002 and I’m really looking forward to working on what I can offer to bloggers and businesses as well as working in leaving my full-time role to be fully self-employed by the end of 2022. I started a new job back in November and while I much prefer it to what I did before I can’t see any scope for learning (beyond learning the new role) and like a lot of people I’ve also found that I work better working from home. Somehow I get more done and I can take things at my own pace and not feel like ti need to be working at the same pace as my colleagues.

I’ve got another catch-up post that I’m planning all about how I’m coping with my chronic pain condition and the changes I’ve had to make to be able to get through the day. This is another reason for being self-employed – so I can work when and where I want to depending on my pain levels for that day.

I’ve also chosen to split my Instagram back into two accounts so that I can have my blog content on @fromfiona and my VA and business content will be on @digitalfromfiona so do please follow them, obviously depending on what content you would like to see.

Well, that’s my update for 2022 and I hope you’ll follow me on this journey!

Do you have lists or plans for 2022?
