The 1989 Tag — Taylor Swift

The 1989 Tag — Taylor Swift

I first read this over on AJ Loves and loved the questions so thought I’d give it a go too. While I am a fan of Taylor Swift I’ve not heard 1989 in its entirety which will probably shock quite a few people but I do have “Shake It Off” on repeat at the moment.

Welcome to New York — If you could live in any city, which would it be and why?
At the moment, my answer to this would be London, however, I’d love to spend my summers in the South of France too.

Blank Space — What is something everyone thinks is true about you but is actually false?
That I’m a really confident person. I used to work in hospitality and that means a persona, a more confident attitude and not letting people get you. All of that wore off by the time I made it home and wanted to be alone in my own little bubble.

Style — What is one item in your closet that makes you feel unstoppable?
This is a really hard one to answer. I have clothes I love to wear but nothing that makes me feel amazing. If I really have to pick though it would be a decent handbag. I can’t live without all my little odds and sods and if I end up with a bag that resembles Mary Poppins carpet bag I don’t care.

Out of the Woods — What is one thing you’re afraid of?
I’m afraid of snakes and it’s so bad that I skip certain scenes in Harry Potter and the Chamber Secrets.

All You Had To Do Was Stay — Who is someone you wish was still in your life?
Other than the family members that are no longer with us there are some friends that I’ve lost over time that I would love to have back in my life but I’m not sure if they’d like the new me.

Shake It Off — What is something you’ve had to shake off?
People’s negative attitudes. I had major surgery in 2012 and lost a lot of “friends” because of it.

Wish You Would — What is something you would like to happen right now?
Seriously, I just wish the weather was better. It’s been very wet here in Glasgow and my body copes better when it’s warm and dry.

Bad Blood — Have you ever had someone stab you in the back?
Repeatedly. I’ve had ideas in the workplace stolen by management to make themselves look good and I’ve not got the credit I deserve but if I were to mention it no one would probably have believed me anyway.

Wildest Dreams — What would you like to be remembered for?
I’d like to be remembered for being a decent human being and for being there for friends and family when they need me.

How You Got The Girl — What is your favourite pick up line?
I was going to say one with ice – but a certain someone already put that….!

This Love — What is something you got back you never thought you would?
I mentioned major surgery earlier on and it was a full hysterectomy and ovary removal at the age of 28. What I got back was my independence after feeling like a trip to the toilet was like running a marathon. Eventually, I was able to walk further and further everyday and while I still have the odd “bad” day they’re not as bad as they were. I can get out of bed on a daily basis without wondering about how much pain I’ll be in during the day.

I Know Places — Where is one place you always feel safe?
I would have said one of my grandparent’s houses’ but they’ve both gone. I love my parent’s house too even if it is a bit creepy at night when you’re in it alone.

Clean — What is an important lesson you have learned in life, and how did you learn it?
I learned that sometimes friendships just don’t last. I’ve learnt it the hard way by having people that don’t return calls or texts or just don’t bother. But then again I also have some fabulous friends that have been with me through thick and thin as well as those that I’ve not known for long that I already consider as close friends.I hope you’ve enjoyed reading my answers and feel free to do it yourself but leave me the link so I can read it too!
