Let’s Have a Catch Up

It feels like an absolute age since I’ve written a chatty catch up post but I’ve finally crawled off the sofa and out into the world. Just a word of warning, as it’s been a while since I’ve written a post like this it might be a fairly long one!

I had another trip to London this year and I have to admit it was one of my favourites. Now don’t get me wrong, I love visiting places with the husband but there is something I enjoy about being somewhere on my own and being able to do the things I want as well as just wandering when I feel like it. I also made a trip to Brighton to visit Holly as it had been over 2 years since we’d last seen each other. We wandered, did some window shopping and then went for lunch at Wagamama. I also picked up a cupcake from Cloud 9 bakery which was amazing but may have been the reason I didn’t sleep too well that night. Whoops. Must remember no sugar before bed!

While I was in London I also finally managed to make it over to the Imperial War Museum at Lambeth to see the ceramic poppies that were on display. I helped to plant some of the poppies in the moat of the Tower of London during the summer of 2014 but I hadn’t had a chance to see the full display. Weeping Window is gorgeous but also thought provoking at the same time. It makes you realise just how many lives were lost and what was sacrificed for us to have the lives we have today.

The photo of the museum below is one of the first that I’ve edited with Lightroom and I don’t think it will be the last. The original image was dark and gloomy as the sun was behind the building but as you can see the edited image looks amazing.

I also finally managed to shoot some blog photos with Kaye Ford and I loved it. She figured out what I wanted and where we could shoot which made things easier for me. I got lots of fab lifestyle shots of me with a cup of tea which will be perfect for future blog posts. The one below has now become my profile picture everywhere as I feel it fits me and my brand quite well.

Well, that’s everything that I’ve been getting up to recently but there may also be a Christmas themed post heading your way soon *fingers crossed*. I have time off work over Christmas and New Year which means I’ll have time to read, eat chocolate and maybe get some blogging done too.

What have you been getting up to recently?
