As you may or may not know alongside my normal FX cashier role I’m also a virtual assistant. All this means is that I do the tasks that other business owners either don’t want to do or simply don’t have the time for. It’s often a lot of WordPress work or creating the images for brands to use on Instagram. It can be similar to hiring an accountant or a tradesperson. Now, this is one of the most important decisions you’ll make as a VA. I’ve chosen to host my services on my blog but some people have two different sites – one for their blog and one for their VA services. If you do decide to go down the two site route it can be costly and time-consuming too. I’ve been with Lyrical Host for over two years now and they are the only web hosts I recommend. Website Theme
As well as the best web hosts you also need a brilliant blog theme. I’m currently using one by Bluchic and is the ChicServe theme. It’s designed on Elementor which makes customisation really simple to do. Although designed as a business and VA website I’ve been able to create a blog homepage and layout that works for me. There are also extra add-ons you can purchase to make your site, signup pages and even tripwire pages all on brand and perfect for you. I’ve used lots of website themes in the past and these are the best I’ve used.

Office Furniture
My final essential as a virtual assistant is the best desk chair I can find and modern office furniture design is high on my list of priorities. Having spent so long in offices as a temp I know the benefits of a supportive yet good looking office chair. I’ve had my desk since I did my dissertation but a chair is the one thing that you should splurge on if you can. Your back will definitely thank you later!
