      • What are your date ideas in Glasgow? Do you have your own list for your city?

Glasgow is one of those cities where there is always something on, something to do or a restaurant to visit (present circumstances excluded). There are lots of date ideas in Glasgow and this will be a definitive list and may include some first date ideas too.

December is also a great time to get out and about, go for a walk or hide in a warm coffee shop with a slice of cake. I’ve been meaning to write this post for quite some time as there is so much to do in Glasgow that I want to show it off to the rest of the world!

Places to Visit

I like dates where we can get out the house and have some time to ourselves, have a chat and a wander to get some fresh air. Kelvingrove (pictured above) is always a favourite as there can be something new to see everytime you visit. The Botanic Gardens are also a good choice especially when it’s cold as you can hide in a hot house for a while. It’s somewhere I love to take my camera (even if my husband is a bit of a backseat photo taker!).

Recently, we’ve also started going for scenic drives in the area to get out the house as we were limited to the places we could go and trips to the supermarket start to get dull really quickly. We’ve gone up to Perthshire or around Loch Lomond and it’s a great way to spend time with someone and see some different (and very pretty) surroundings.

With these ideas of places to visit and the places I love to visit for a meal, there is a lot to choose from for Strathclyde dating. The only issue with writing a post like this keeping my thoughts to a minimum. If you’re looking for more date ideas then Design My Night is a great site to look at for ideas of things to do in one of my favourite cities.

Places to Eat

There are a huge number of restaurants in Glasgow to choose from. Pizza will always be a favourite for me and Mozza have plenty of outlets across the city to choose from. What’s even better is they quite often have special deals on pizza and it’s one of the few places where my husband leaves full so that’s always a plus in my book. It’s also the place we went for a post-graduation meal many moons ago and aside from Wagamama is one of my favourite places to eat in the city.

If you’re looking for more of snack or brunch then Tribeca on Dumbarton Road also gets my vote. I always seem to end up there after a wander around Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum which always helps me build up an appetite. Their eggs royale (minus the hollandaise) is a favourite dish at any time of the day.
