I’ve always loved fajitas but I tend to find them too spicy. Using the Schwartz chip seasoning* (sent for review but all thoughts and opinions are my own) meant we had a flavourful meal but I could still feel my mouth at the end of it. There are many uses for this chip seasoning but I’ll give you my foolproof recipe for fajitas (it’s so good my dad will only let me make fajitas for him).
It’s been a long time since I’ve posted a food/drink post and even longer since I posted my last recipe which was my favourite chicken marinade. I’m trying to do more recipe posts this year and if you have anything you’d like to see then leave me a comment.
I’ve broken this down into the ingredients you’ll need as well as the method I follow. The thing I love about making fajitas is you can almost do anything and it’ll work. E.g. if you don’t have tortillas cook some rice, serve the meat and veg and you’re sorted.

Ingredients – Feeds 4 Adults
- 3 chicken breasts/p (turkey/add extra veg if veggie/vegan)
- 2 peppers – whichever colours you prefer
- 1 large red onion
- lettuce of choice
- grated cheese
- mayonnaise
- salsa (if you like it)
- 1 jar of Schwartz Chip Seasoning
- 12 tortillas – flour or corn depending on your preference
Method
- Slice the peppers, onions and chicken ready for cooking.
- Fry chicken or chosen protein till nearly done and add the seasoning to the pan. I used a couple of teaspoons but add what you feel is right.
- While this happening also fry the veg that you want for your fajitas too.
- As both your pans are cooking away you can crack on with prepping the rest of your meal – grate cheese, look out mayo/salsa and assemble on plates for serving. I know what each person wants so do them a specialised plate but you can pop it all in serving dishes in the middle of a table if that works for you.
- Wrap your tortillas in foil and heat in a preheated oven (approx 150•C for 5-10 minutes).
- When everything is ready serve and enjoy.

Although I’ve used this chip seasoning for making fajitas I think it would be amazing as a goulash seasoning or for its intended use but with sweet potato or butternut squash instead of regular potato. I’ve got so many ideas and I can’t wait to share them all.
You can buy the Schwartz Chip Seasoning for this fajita recipe from Tesco for £1.60 for a 55g jar. I used a couple of teaspoons of seasoning so you’ll get a few meals from the one jar.
