It’s been an absolute age since I’ve written a catch-up post but in all honesty, it’s because I’ve not had much to share. I’ve been working away on an exciting project that I may get launched, eventually. I’m also claiming this as a favourites post as I’ve been trying some new products recently and love sharing what I love with all of you.
I had a week off work and got a whole load of blogging done and then as with the rest of the blogosphere I found that I needed to change my theme and my hosting. I spent a good portion of a weekend ready to tear my hair out but I’m fairly happy with my blog and how it’s looking now. I think I may have some more work to do on it but that’ll keep me occupied on the next time off I have from work.
Other than that it’s been fairly quiet around here as I’ve really only been working and blogging. Hopefully the next time I post a catch-up post I’ll have a bit more to share with you all.
Products I’ve Been Loving

The Fizzy Berry range by Bilou (available from Superdrug)* is amazing and is the first shower product I’ve found that actually has a scent as well as being kind to my skin. For years I’ve been using Sanex thinking I was doing my skin a favour when in fact it was the thing making it itchier than ever. I’m a sucker for anything with a berry scent and this is lovely. It’s not overpowering so you don’t step out of the shower thinking you’ve turned into a strawberry.
I’ve yet to try the body spray and cream but if they’re as gentle as the shower foam is then I’ll be a happy bunny. What’s even better is that all Bilou products are 100% vegan and the cans are also recyclable.
What I’ve Been Reading

I’ve not been reading as much recently and I’m not sure why. At the time of writing this post I was nearly finished Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare and preparing to move onto the second book of the series. It’s a series of books I read years ago and had forgotten the overall storyline but with rewatching the Shadowhunters series on Netflix I’d been wanting to revisit these stories.
What I’ve Been Buying

I bought the Zeal and Heart charity necklace after what happened in Christchurch and the whole £25 I spent was donated to the charity. I may never have been to NZ but with family that used to live there as well as family that live there now, there will always be a part of me that is there. I’ve added it to my charm necklace which has also had a couple of Alice related charms added since its last outing on the blog too.
I also had to have my grandmother’s ring repaired last month too. It had split in the night so I took it to a jeweller that I trust and had it repaired and resized. It now fits a whole better and is very very shiny. I’ve also had it confirmed that the stones are garnets so I’m making sure I keep it safe. Even if I have no idea who it actually belonged to… But that’s a story for another blog post.
I’m hoping to make these a monthly affair and maybe get the chance to get out with my camera a bit more to get some Instagram content too.
