I’ve been planning this post for a while but I didn’t have all the pictures for it. I think I might have finally got all the images I need to be able to write this post. I did a similar one about my favourite places in Glasgow which was fun to write as it gave me a good excuse to go them all for the photographs.
Covent Garden
Covent Garden was one of the first places that I went to in London with my husband and it’s now somewhere that I visit every time I go to London. It also features heavily in one of my favourite books (Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovitch) and I find myself making sure there are no ghosts lurking around – read the book, it’ll make more sense.
Kew Gardens
I love visiting Kew Gardens, especially the orchid house. It’s a great place to spend an afternoon wandering around and taking lots of pictures. The only problem I’ve found is that it’s so big it takes more than one trip to fit everything in, especially when my knee starts acting up.
Sky Garden
The views from the Sky Garden were amazing even if it was a bit dull and wet that day. I’m hoping to go back in the summer when it might be a bit brighter to try and get more pictures of London from above. What annoyed me was I spent forever staring at a building and couldn’t remember what it was until I was on the ground walking towards it. My memory is starting to fail me but at least it came back to me eventually.
Piccadilly
I love wandering through Piccadilly as I love the architecture of the area. It’s also home to one of my favourite shops of all time where I always head to buy my mum some Turkish Delight. This is one area where you will always find me on a trip to London.
