Short Break Planning*

short break planning

For some of you, this won’t be news but my husband and I will be married for ten years in November. This got me thinking about what we could do to celebrate and a short break is starting to look like it might be winning. It’s no surprise to a lot of people that I love a trip to London and this year will probably be no different.

This means, to start the search I turn to the internet. I did a few searches and couldn’t find what I was looking for but then I stumbled across Great Little Breaks* and I have to say I think I’ll be using them more often for this kind of trip. I’ve been checking out their range of city breaks and now have lots of places I want to visit but I think London is still the firm favourite for this year. I may have been many times but there are so many things I still want to do, including going to the Shard.

The offer has now ended, unfortunately, but they did have a deal that included an overnight hotel stay, View from the Shard tickets and a bottle of prosecco. This is my kind of deal and I’m actually very sad it’s ended but with our anniversary being in November I have plenty of time before I need to book something, so I think I’ll be keeping an eye on the website for when I get the chance to book a short break.

I now have an ever expanding list of places I want to see and now I just need to find the time to be able to try and fit it all in. The Great Little Breaks site has given me lots of ideas for places I want to go as well as lots of things I want to do while we’re there. Now it’s off to my spreadsheet to try and figure out how we can afford all the travelling I want to do this year.

Have you ever planned a short break? Any tricks or tips for me?
