Have a Pamper Day at Home*

Table of Contents

  • Scented candle
  • Magnitone Face Brush
  • Nail Polish
  • Chocolate
With Easter coming up, there is a huge feeling of relief in being off uni for a few days and some time to myself and to relax. I did do a post recently on how I relax and for me that includes candles and adult colouring books. This post is all about how I have a pamper day from home which is sometimes part of the lead up to me getting those lovely colouring books and pencils out.

Disney movie (or any movie of your choice) As you can see from the picture below there are quite a few things that I need for a pamper day at home. One thing I will admit is I am not one that goes in for spa-like treatments at home. I like to keep things fairly simple, meaning I can have a pamper day whenever I feel like and not need to worry about whether I have all the items I need if I’ve been having a bad day.

Tangled is one of my all time favourite Disney movies and therefore obviously had to play a part in this post. I’m not saying to watch a Disney movie although if that is your choice I’m not going to stop you. What I am saying is put on a favourite movie, or one you love but haven’t watched in a while as you want something that will help you feel relaxed.

Scented candle

My favourite scent at the moment is Yankee Black Cherry as it has a gorgeous fruity smell without being too sweet. For me having a candle lit helps me relax a little and a difference in aroma can make all the difference when you’re making the most of some free time. Even just the flickering of a standard unscented candle can make me feel relaxed as the bit I love is the smell when the flame has just been extinguished.

Magnitone Face Brush

A large part of having a pamper day is having the time to be able to wash my hair and then do all the styling that is required of someone with a head of extremely thick hair. When I’m in the shower I also use my Magnitone Barefaced which means I feel like I’ve had a mini facial at home and helps me feel relaxed and ready to watch the movie.

Nail Polish

I don’t paint my nails as often as I probably should and that is why it has been included here as a method of having a pamper day at home. Taking the time away from everything to paint your nails and more importantly, wait for them to dry can be a challenge but if you’ve got the time it can be a worthwhile thing to do and make you feel like you’ve been pampered at a salon without leaving your home.
I have sensitive skin and so some of these other products aren’t much use to me, but as well as painting your nails you could also use an exfoliator on your hands to remove any dead skin and then a nourishing hand cream to keep your skin smooth and well hydrated (especially in this cold weather).

Chocolate

A pamper day is never complete without your favourite bar of chocolate or sweet treat while you watch a film. I know it’s not the healthiest of options but sometimes chocolate is all that will do. Have the treat that you feel you want at the time.

I would also add that I would never dream of doing any of this without a cup of tea but there just wasn’t room in the picture for it too (basically I was too happy drinking it to photograph it!)

Well, that’s it for how I have a pamper day at home (when I have time) and I’d love to know what do you do to have a pamper day at home?
