I’ve always had a bit of a pin collection but in the past few months it’s got even bigger. This post contains gifted items and the links to them will be marked with a (*) and in the caption of the photo. I decided I wanted to document my collection so that I know which pins I’ve got and which ones I still need to add to it. The majority of my pins have been made by Jemma aka Dorkface but these two are my favourites. I always think if I look closely on the “Let’s Get Lost” pin that I’ll see a hobbit and a wizard. My favourite thing about Jemma’s pins is the designs she makes for the backing cards. Thankfully, I’ve found a way to display the pins without taking them off their backing and the secret is an artists canvas. Pin the badges with their backing through the canvas and then hang it on a picture hook.
I didn’t know which pins I was going to receive until I opened the parcel from Punky Pins* but they got me so right. I love all things books and reading so these pins are perfect for me. The 4 they sent me were: Happy Place*, Busy Reading*, Books F**k Yeah* and Books Before Boys* (all £7). These pins are amazing quality but because of how they’re made they are on the heavier side so take this into account when deciding where to put them. What I can say is that these pins won’t be the only Punky Pins that I’ll own. I’m already making a wish list of other pins that I want from the site.
The rest of my pin collection is a bit of a mix of pins but ones that represent me. Of course I have my Hufflepuff pin that I picked up from Platform 9¾ and will be going on my canvas along with the rest of my collection.
The Alice Inspired Teacup by Foxes in the Forest (£7) is a pin that I knew I had to have when I saw it. It’s a teacup and Alice inspired pin so of course it was ending up in my collection. I’m loving the Disney pins on the site too and trying hard not to place an order.
The last pin in my collection is another one that I knew I needed to buy when I saw it. The Lancaster pin is one of the few Lancaster items available from the IWM shop. I wanted a T-shirt but ended up with a Spitfire one as it was the only one they had.
