Dermatique Recuperating Cream*

A while ago I was followed on Twitter and Instagram by Dermatique who are a Scottish company specialising in skincare specifically for people with problem and eczema prone skin – which mine definitely classifies as. I contacted them asking if they did samples as I have a limited budget for new skincare that may not work for me ( I also hate waste) and was offered a tub of the recuperating cream (rrp £29.50 – click here to view their website) to test out and review on the blog.

Both my husband and I have been using this as we both seem to have midge bites at the same time which has resulted in itchy skin as well as all my usual issues.

The results were (and still are) fantastic. I’m using this cream in the places where my eczema flares and if I have a patch of particularly pesky dry skin and its working wonders. A little of this cream goes a long way and I can see and feel the results already. Where E45 and even diprobase wore off fairly quickly I can use this before bed and wake up safe in the knowledge I won’t have scratched myself to shreds in the night. My husband has been loving this cream too as he’s currently building a tree house for his boss and is working outside all day he’s being bitten by the local midge population of Ayrshire and he says this is helping keep the itchy feelings at bay.

Overall, I’m very impressed with the recuperating cream and although it does have an odd scent  – which is normal for unscented products – it does exactly what it claims to and then some. While I know I won’t need to buy any for a while I’m sure I will when this tub finally runs out.

Have you tried any wonder products recently? Why not let me know in the comments, or as always you’ll find me on Twitter.
