A Little Challenge – The Holiday Edition

If you’ve read the blog before, you’ll know that I like to challenge myself every once in a while. To distract myself from the pain that is exam revision I decided to try and buy the remaining items on my list for my summer holiday for less than £70.
My shopping list included:
  • A pair of denim shorts
  • A kimono/beach throw over
  • A couple of pairs of cotton shorts
  • A maxi dress or skirt
  • A cute T-shirt/top
  • Flip Flops

Here’s how I got on. (Note: all pictures are from the website(s) as the items haven’t been delivered yet). Also, all details are the link to the stores if you wish to purchase them too.
Denim Shorts – £16 – F&F/Tesco
These shorts look really cute and will go with any top. I love the little lace panel on either side as it gives it a slightly more girly look than other denim shorts.
Paisley Print Wrap – £12 – F&F/Tesco
I have pale skin and burn really easily so a kimono is a must for me on a foreign holiday. I’m sticking to a blue, white and black colour palette and this fits in with this nicely.
Paisley Bandeau Top – £7 – Dorothy Perkins
I love the colours of this top and the pattern is beautiful too. Being from a village near Paisley I do have a love of Paisley pattern.
Flip Flops – £4 (for 2 pairs) – Matalan
These are so pretty and stick with my colour scheme too which is a bonus.
Shorts – £14 – Dorothy Perkins
I decided on a pair of these shorts as they look really comfortable but also not too short. They also have the bonus of a drawstring should I eat a little too much one day.
Maxi Dress – £18 – Dorothy Perkins
This dress really caught my eye when I spotted it on the website. It looks great as a multi-purpose dress for day or night which is a bonus.
All in all i was £1 over budget which I think I can allow myself just this once.
What did you think of my choices? Any suggestions for me? Leave me a comment or all my other links are below.
