Review – Blogger Beauty Box – October

I love getting these boxes through the post. And before I turn into a blogger cliché, I’d like to emphasise that I really do mean it and Vix Meldrew & Neesha Rees do an amazing job putting all this together and getting them out to us lucky bloggers. If you’d like to read more about the boxes and sign up for your own, you can over at Blogger Beauty Box.

This month’s box contained over £100 worth of products and they are all brilliant. Not had a chance to try them all yet but I’m sure I’ll get there.

Elizabeth Grant – Supreme Essence of Torricelumn
This product is worth a whopping £64, proving how at £10 for the box this is the box I love receiving. This product is designed to smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and the suggested usage is to massage a few drops into the face neck prior to applying moisturiser. I’ve not tried this one yet as I’ve got my skin routine fairly sorted (Can’t Live Without – Skincare and Cherry Toner) and I honestly just keep forgetting to put it on, but hopefully I will soon and maybe even post a review too.

Puriskin – Resurfacing Formula
As someone with eczema/dermatitis, I was genuinely happy when I saw this product. It’s similar in texture to the Dermatique Recuperating Cream which I reviewed during the summer and is brilliant on those itchy patches where a normal moisturiser just won’t do the job. It’s the kind of cream that while I may not use it every day, it will certainly be kept for those bad days when quite frankly nothing else will do.

Pink and Green – Organic Facial Cleansing Oil
Now this is where I have a couple of confessions to make. I’m allergic to citrus and my husband is allergic to lavender which means as much as I would like to, I really can’t use this product. This upsets me for a couple of reasons. 1. As it’s a natural product it would do amazing things for my sensitive skin. 2. It just smells amazing and I’m tempted to keep it handy for when I can’t sleep.

Xenca – Concealer (In Medium)
Confession number 3. I don’t wear a lot of make-up. That being said if I am wearing make-up, concealer is high on the list of products I use and as such I will admit I do have a bit of a collection. That being said, I was a bit shocked when I saw the box said ‘medium’ as I have very fair skin. However, on trying the concealer I must say well done to the girls as it is the perfect shade for my skin tone. It goes on really well and could be a perfect dupe for my favourite Benefit Boi-ing.

John Gosnell’s – The Original Vitamin E Cream

I’m always on the hunt for new moisturisers to try and especially ones I know will do good things to my skin. While I haven’t tried this one yet, I’m looking forward to it and hopefully when I do, I’ll post a review.

Any beauty confessions you would like to confess to? As always leave me a comment or you’ll find me on twitter.
