For a couple of years now I’ve written a post about the gifts I would love to be opening on my birthday. Now I’m not saying that I have to be bought gifts but my husband and my best friend usually ask me what I want and each year I find it harder to make a decision. Last year I wrote a birthday wish list post and was lucky enough to receive some of the items that were on it but there are still some Harry Potter items that I don’t own yet which I’m hoping to change this year. This year, I went for a wander around town and had a look online and found some ideas of what I would like and managed to take some photos too.
Alice in Wonderland
There’s a gorgeous Alice in Wonderland teapot that has my name written all over it. I already have the matching cup and saucer set which will be appearing in an upcoming post all about my Alice in Wonderland collection.
In my gift guide for Christmas post, I included an Alice in Wonderland mug that has the white rabbit on it and this is the matching plate from the same range by Mrs Moore*. I adore all of the china available that is based on Alice in Wonderland and this plate and the mug will definitely be well used.
L’Occitane Cherry Blossom
I am a sucker for a cherry blossom scent by L’Occitane and their new Cherry Blossom Eau Fraiche Collection looks amazing. This is the gift set which includes a hand cream, shower gel, body milk and eau de toilette. It’s a limited edition collection which I’m hoping becomes a permanent one. I’ve not had the chance to smell it in store but it’s described as a fresh scent which is right up my street. I’ll happily take a full size of the cherry blossom hand cream as my travel size is running out.
I’m a sucker for a scented candle and this one from Gemporia* is one which is based on my birth gemstone is gorgeous. Being born in April my birthstone is diamond and the scent of the candle is Orris which I find quite relaxing. There is a layer of diamond dust over the top of the soy candle and when it burns the diamond will glisten. The Black Diamond which is on the candle is known to help you focus in a calm manner which I definitely need at the moment and I’ll be using this candle soon.
I’ve also been loving this French Linen Water Candle by Max Benjamin which is available from Amara* as it’s a clean and refreshing scent which makes any room smell like Provence and that’s never a bad thing. The jar is also gorgeous and I know I’ll be using it to store my makeup brushes when the candle is finished.
I’ve not been able to read any actual books as I can’t hold them so I’ve been doing a lot of reading on my kindle. An Amazon voucher would mean that I could buy lots of new books to keep my reading obsession going. I may also use it to finally buy the tripod that I’ve been lusting after for well over a year now.
The list isn’t as long as I thought it was going to be but I’m hoping it’ll give the people that need it most an idea of what to buy me this year.
What do you have on your birthday wishlist?
