For those of you that know me, writing about menopause symptoms won’t come as that much of a shock. And for anyone that hasn’t read this blog before I’ll give you a bit of background information. Back in December 2012, I had a full hysterectomy and ovaries removed. This means I’m now classed as menopausal as I no longer have a period each month.
This post contains gifted products – all views and opinions are my own.
What it also means is that I have all the lovely side effects and symptoms that go with it. These can vary from person to person but the main ones I have are hot flushes and night sweats which can make things really fun (especially in summer). I also have an increased number of headaches and hair loss. These are only some of the symptoms you can experience and for a full list, you can find them all on the NHS website.
I will admit that I am on HRT to try and combat some of the menopause symptoms because without it it was quite literally hell. I went cold turkey for a month when I was on decapeptyl injections which mimic not having any ovaries and it was probably the worst month of my life. The HRT does what it can but it’s not 100% effective and there are times where I feel like I need a little extra help. If you’d like more information about the rest of the medication that I take I have a blog post about that too.

I’d been looking into supplements for a while and came across Cleanmarine Menomin* which are designed to provide nutritional support for menopausal and peri-menopausal women. The main ingredients are Omega 3, Biotin, Rosemary Oil and Soy Isoflavones but unfortunately, I’ve had to give these away as I’m allergic to the ingredients. The person I gave them to is finding a reduction in their symptoms while taking the tablets and reported feeling healthier while taking them too. I am annoyingly allergic to most of the herbal alternatives for HRT but I’m doing more research into what I can take with my food allergies.

CleanMarine Menomin are also the sponsors for this year’s Menopause Success Summit which is an online event giving you access to the latest information on the hottest menopause topics. The event is on 25th September 2021 10 am-5 pm and you can book your space using the link above.
This event is for you if you’re confused by the terms you’re seeing on websites and in blogs and you want to hear from the experts on the topic and if you have a particular area that you’re looking to understand in more detail.
I hope this post had helped you but don’t forget if you’re having specific symptoms or issues then speak to your doctor.
